About Us

Bi-City Boppers is a dance club dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Bop and its music.

The music at any Bi-City Boppers event is Rhythm and Blues and Beach music, with a mix of newer music that has a good bop beat. Our music will keep you on the dance floor! It doesn't matter if you're not a great dancer, or not a dancer at all. Free dance lessons are available at every dance.

All regular monthly dances are held at the FOP - 8827 Heiferhorn Way, Columbus, GA. We also host a New Years Eve Party and the Bopping on the Bay Mardi Gras party in Panama City, FL.

Our dues are $35 per year and are due on July 1 ($30.00 if paid by June 30). Dues paid January 1 through June 30 are $20.00. If you have interest in joining, there are applications available at our dances, or email bicitybo@bicityboppers.com .

Members get free admission to all regular monthly dances and a reduced price at the New Years Eve party - a $75 value for only $35!! Guest admission is $7.00.

Bi-City Boppers was founded in 1997. Members have ranged in age from 20's - 70's, with most members being in the 50-60 age range. We welcome members and guests who embrace other dances, as well as the Bop. Our DJs play a variety of music that is suitable for those who enjoy shag and the swing dances, and we also play an occasional line and slow dance at our parties.
